As Pretty Girls Do
Everyone knows that space creatures don't exist and that alien abductions are escapist fantasies of an unbalanced mind.
Beth learns that what everyone knows is lies. She becomes one of the abducted and lives the truth. Whether with the ferocious Yeter, the cuddly Jibarae, the outcast Solterran, or the ambitious Sintal, Beth discovers that her biggest advantages lie in her will to survive and her ability to adapt - as well as in her sexual talents and appetites.
Her travels take her farther than mere distance. Beth is changed from a simply pretty girl to a courageous woman with powerful enemies and loyal friends. Instead of the girl next door, she becomes a citizen of the galaxy.
Through heroism and self-sacrifice, Beth proves humans are worthy of alien respect, friendship, and, perhaps, love.
Part One: The Yeter
Finished as of 1/19/2003, this 87,700 word novel will be available for a limited time for free, after which I will offer it as a download payable through Paypal.      'Pretty Girls' was started in January of 2001 as a serial epic for the now defunct Themestream project. This was instigated by a phrase in a 'how-to write' book about erotica. The author said, 'Aliens aren't sexy,' and discouraged writers from the attempt to link sci-fi and erotica. Well, I'm a sucker for a challenge.      In the meantime, consider reading 'The Secrets of Katie Zurin' or 'The White Lady' , which are also finished works (if anything written in this ether-format can be a done deal) and are also way too long. Both are long and written in my usual style - twisted.      Other possibities for leisure reading of an alternative kind can be found on my 'links to' page. Free content is quickly disappearing from the Internet; enjoy it while you can. Support our efforts with a kind word via email. Someday you may regret letting the opportunity pass. |
