The Rumors in the Wind
No. No. Don't change a word. It's great the way it is. It soars and bears repeated readings, each of which reveal new images and ideas. I love it. Add on. Keep writing it. It's Adam and Eve, isn't it. Or could be. Read it as it is at meeting, even with young ones. The allusions to sexuality are subtle enough and beautifully applied. Bonnie D. |

Questlings
The story itself requires the reader to savor every sentence, as the information on character and scene is very dense. That lets you create the foundation of a world and introduce us to a half dozen or more characters, including their feelings and motivations and meanings and reasons, within a relatively short chapter. That is very well done... I say Bravo... this is the single best description of Velorian-esq passion and socialization and inter-relationships and education and promise that I've read. You set a high standard for all of us. John |

Questlings
Although there are only two chapters so far, they're spent in a much deeper character development than I recall ever reading in the AU. We're getting every nuance of their personalities in a group sex afternoon where even a subtle touch is experienced by us. That, perhaps, is a woman's take on sex... or maybe it's just that you write so damn well, Jolie. Whatever the case may be, if the reader allows, they can get immersed into this long scene to curse the chastity belt along with the others. You bring new perspectives and ideas to the AU that expands the canons simply by their creativity and believability. Mac |

The White Lady
Jolie can write. Yowza. It's pro-level of the kind I used to buy by the hundredweight. It touches all the senses and snaps off the page. Toomey |

Darkest Wishes
A Simple Answer Hey Jolie, Just wanted to tell you I read "Darkest Wishes" and " A Simple Answer" today. Loved them both of course, but wishes is my personal favorite. D.Trescott |

The Quarry
Winner of the DistantWorlds 2000 Short Story Contest It's obvious that you have a great deal of talent. I certainly hope to have the privilege of reading more of your work. You draw your scenes very well, your characters are believable and sympathetic, there's a grand, bleak style to the overall cast of the piece, and the odd turn of phrase here and there is delicious. Bravo. Bravissimo. Encore. T.Starks |

The White Lady
I have completed your novel, "The White Lady". As a reader I have nothing but praise for it. It has intrigue, mystery and action. It is tightly woven and concisely written. There were just enough hints throughout to figure the ending without allowing the reader to be totally sure of the conclusion. You have created a fantastic world, one which holds together geographically as well as historically. G.Hesser |
